McDonald's Iced Coffee Recipe (Copycat in 5 Minutes)
Smooth, lightly sweet, and perfectly chilled, this copycat McDonald's iced coffee recipe is made with strong brewed coffee, vanilla simple syrup, and cream poured over ice. It's quick, easy, and tastes just like your favorite iced coffee from the drive-thru.
Fill a 16-ounce glass about two-thirds full with ice cubes.
Pour the cooled coffee over the ice, then add the vanilla simple syrup and milk or cream.
Stir well with a spoon or straw until fully combined.
Taste and adjust as needed, adding more syrup for sweetness or more cream for a smoother finish. Serve immediately.
Notes
Simple syrup. If you don't have vanilla syrup on hand, you can make a quick version by combining 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of hot water. Stir until dissolved, then add 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Store extra syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Use Premium Roast (Medium Dark Roast) McCafé coffee beans for the best flavor.
Coffee strength. Brew your coffee slightly stronger than usual to prevent it from tasting watered down over ice.
Best ratio. A good starting point is about ¾ coffee, 1-2 tablespoons of syrup, and a splash of cream, but adjust to your taste.
Dairy-free option. Use oat milk, almond milk, or coconut milk instead of dairy milk or cream.
